Organizational Information
Founded: 1956
Parent Organization: Ministerie de Economia, Secretaria de Agricultura, Ganageria, Pesca y Agroalimentacion
Supporting Organization: Estado Nacional

Purpose/Mission: Encourage the development of research and agricultural extension services and accelerate the technology process and the improvement of agricultural companies and rural life.

Educational Program Focus: Agricultural extension services are developed through the technical and cultural educational assistance of the rural producer and his family, and the community he belongs to. In that context, between 1958 and 1974, INTA worked with rural youths through Four-A clubs. Fy that time, there were 1,500 clubs. Nowadays, this program is no longer in operations but it seems to be important to begin working on it again. There used to be a civil association of entrepreneurs, which had INTA as a formal member.
