Motto: "Learning by Doing" "To Make the Best Better"

Educational Program Focus: 4-H's activities are concentrated around the following subjects: animals, soil, nature and cooking. These activities are taking place in different ways in the clubs, where the 4-H publishing firm's exercise books constitute a major tool. In general, there are two major working forms, namely individual or group tasks. The local 4-H work takes place in the clubs/committees. The clubs might be organized differently. At many places, the work is organized in clubs or committees. The clubs have an independent economy, own rules and that general meetings are arranged. At other places, 4-H work is arranged under the responsibility of committees under the local farmers' organizations. The committee has the responsibility for arranging the 4-H work. Almost all committees have an independent economy. They have no rules but specific procedures. Education of leaders, as well personal as professional, constitutes an important part of the 4-H work. Denmark's 4-H wherefore emphasizes in extensive and comprehensive leader training. The regional training courses are one of the basic elements.
